EuroWind provides independent
and internationally accredited wind resource- and energy yield assessments as well as area-wide
maps for your wind farm projects in Germany
and abroad. The in-house developed, optimized simulation procedure WIEN (accredited acc. to DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025:2005)
thereby ensures to comply with the increased demand in the
energy yield prognosis for wind turbines at complex
sites. Since 1997 our procedure for wind resource- and energy yield assessments
is successfully applied for planned on- and offshore wind farms - world-wide.
Therewith EuroWind deliberately renounces the standard
model WAsP for wind farm assessments in the midland.
Since the program system WIEN
is fulfilling demonstrably the advanced requirements of
complex onshore- and exposed offshore sites, our procedure is often also used
to recheck already existing energy yield assessments.
To simulate the wind con-
ditions that are
affected by the orography a three-dimensional
numeric flow model is being used and
combined with a sta-
tistical dynamical climate model.
This complex procedure is also able to assess
the climatological wind conditions for sites,
where no long term wind measurements
had been performed.
